THE Captain of the Holyoke boat-club has requested us to state that all persons who wish to join the club must send in their money to the Treasurer before the end of January, 1876. A place will be reserved for any one who sends his name to the Secretary before that time, but it is desired that the money should be paid as soon as possible. No one will be able to join the club after February I.
ON Saturday morning the Advertiser, after giving the list of officers elected by the Class of '76, made the following brilliant remark: "This was a victory for the Puddings, and a return to the vicious system of society influence in elections." Where ignorance is bliss, 't is folly to be wise.
