Approximately 300 undergraduates gathered in front of Newell Boathouse yesterday evening, after the crews had disembarked, to cheer the oarsmen who leave Sunday for Red Top and those who leave tomorrow for Philadelphia to compete in the American Henley Regatta Coach Stevens and Captain Henry spoke.

The parade needed by a band packed aboard a five-ton truck, started on Massachusetts Avenue and after much winding through the Mount Auburn and Freshman Hall districts, reached Newell shortly before 6 o'clock. C. J. Hubbard '24 lead the cheering.

Coach Stevens made a short speech in which he said that the rally did more for the men than he could possibly say and than as an innovation it was a great success. He thanked particularly the men who, though dropped from the second crew, made the rally a success.

A slight rain and the fact the band did not parade through the Yard dampened the ardor and diminished the number of men participating.

More Crew Changes

Additional changes in the second and third university crews made yesterday morning resulted in Barton replacing Leavitt at three in the second crew, Righter taking the seat at bow. Jameson is now at seat six is the third boat, Milde at four, and Pond at two, Watts may take a starboard car.

These crews leave for Philadelphia this evening. They will row twice tomorrow on the Schuylkill river Coach Brown directing. The shells for Saturday's races left yesterday.
