February 3
5:17 p.m.—Officer was dispatched the Yard to a report of an individual in the area riding a mini bike. Officer arrived and searched the area for the individual with negative results.
February 6
4:43 p.m.—Officers were dispatched to Au Bon Pain to a report of an assault in progress. Officers arrived and spoke to the reporting party who stated that when they attempted to sit down at a table they were threatened by another individual. The reporting party states that the individual then kicked them and struck them in the knee. The individual then threatened to punch the reporting party. The reporting party said that they did not want to pursue the matter criminally. Officers located the individual who had an active no trespass warning for all of Harvard University property. Shea Roberts, 59, was then placed under arrest.
11:47 p.m.—Officers dispatched to the Harvard Business School lot on a report of an individual sitting on the hood of a cab and refusing to let the cab leave. Officers arrived and searched the area for the individual with negative results.
February 8
6:13 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to 1 Meadows Lane to report of an individual reported stealing metal from a dumpster. Officers arrived and searched the area for the individual with negative results.
February 9
7:16 p.m.—Officers dispatched to a report of an individual walking on the sidewalk with a laceration on their head. Officers arrived and spoke to the individual. A field interview was conducted and the individual was run for warrants with negative results. The individual was then transported via ambulance to a medical facility.
February 11
9:39 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to the Oxford Street Garage to a report of damage done to the parking gate arm that was caused by a motor vehicle. Officer arrived and reports that there is no damage to the vehicle or the parking gate arm.
February 12
2:46 p.m.—Officers were dispatched to Lowell House to take report of suspicious activity. Officer arrived and spoke to the reporting party who stated that an unknown individual(s) placed feces in their desk drawer. There were no suspicious individuals seen in the area at the time of the incident.
February 13
7:58 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to the Holyoke Center to a report of an individual causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the reporting party who stated that an individual entered the building, yelled at another individual and poured water on the floor. The individual then yelled at the reporting party and left the building. Officers located the individual who had an active trespass warning for all of Harvard University property. The individual then began to yell and put his hands on one of the officers. George E. Despotes, 63, of Cambridge, MA was then placed under arrest and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
February 14
8:11 p.m.—Officer arrived at Lowell House’s G entryway to a report of a fire alarm. Officer arrived and was informed that an individual attempted to light a fire in the fireplace and the smoke caused the alarm to activate. Cambridge Police Department (CFD) extinguished the fire. Fire Group arrived on scene and CFD then deemed the building safe for re-entry.
February 15
3:22 a.m.—Officers dispatched to Lionel Hall to a report of an individual screaming. Officer arrived and spoke to the individual who stated that they were attempting to flag down a cab. Officers then transported the individual to their destination.
February 17
11:17 a.m.—Officers dispatched to the Murr Center to take report of a stolen brown Bottega Veneta wallet valued at $700.00 that contained identification cards, credit cards, a health insurance card, and $2,490.00 in cash.
11:15 p.m.—Officers dispatched to Hurlbut Hall to a report that an individual was observed climbing through a window. Officers arrived and spoke to the individual who stated that they were using a room in the building for the weekend and was locked out. The individual then stated that the room is not theirs and the individual who currently resides in it was not home. Officers observed that the screens and the windows had been opened. Officers secured the windows.
February 18
7:01 a.m.—Officers dispatched to Au Bon Pain to a report that an individual reported threw a chair at another individual. Officers arrived and searched the area for the individual with negative results.
