Mather House music concentrator Clarel Antoine '07-'09 passed away suddenly, House Masters Sandra Nadaff and Leigh Hafrey wrote in an e-mail to the House community earlier today.The cause of death was not disclosed.
Dean of the College Evelynn M. Hammonds notified the rest of the College community in a subsequent e-mail.
Antoine was a classical pianist and participated in the Harvard Theater scene, performing at Arts First this May and producing and co-composing the Class of 2007's freshman musical. He also enjoyed boxing and playing soccer.
The New Jersey native studied French, Spanish, and German in addition to pursuing a degree in Harvard's five-year music program.
