The Crimson Editorial Board is Pleased to Announce its Fall 2007 Cartoonists

Rajarshi Banerjee ’11

is interested in molecular cell biology. Back home in India, Rajarshi’s only cartooning experience was doodling in class. He sent in a cartoon poking fun at the Financial Aid Office as part of his application and thoroughly regretted it for the next three months. Now a freshman in Hurlbut, he wonders whether that’s the reason he’s here. You can check out his cartoons every Friday.

Kelly G. Bowse ’08

is a visual and environmental studies concentrator in Currier House. She hails from Vermont, where the natural environment is similar to Massachusetts, except that the squirrels there don’t eat human babies for breakfast. She hopes her brother, TJ, will make it to the NHL so he can support her art career. Check out her cartoon on Wednesdays.

Julia V. Guren ’10

is confused. She’ll probably be a history and literature concentrator with a secondary field in history of art and architecture, but can remain indecisive for the rest of the semester. She lives in Mather House, the most concrete and aesthetically challenging masterpiece on campus, and hopes to one day see a tiger and a polar bear out of captivity. You can laugh with her or at her on Mondays.

Nick Batter ’08

is a self-trained illustrator who specializes in pen on paper. His notable works include Alien Fighting Dragon as well as the epic Robot Dragon. His work has been displayed throughout eastern Nebraska, most notably, on the refrigerator of Steve Batter, who “normally doesn’t put stuff on the fridge.” Catch his latest masterpieces every Tuesday, right here in The Harvard Crimson!

Aliza H. Aufrichtig ’08

a literature concentrator in Mather House, is feeling a bit drawn. You can see her cartoons on Thursdays.
