6:11 p.m.—A Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer was dispatched to a report of a suspicious odor in Jordan Hall South believed to be carbon monoxide in the building. The officer met with the reporting party who stated that while working in the building they smelled a strong odor and began to feel sick so they pulled the fire alarm to evacuate the building. Cambridge Fire Department tested the air quality which came back negative for carbon monoxide and deemed the building safe for re-entry. The reporting individual was treated by EMTs with oxygen on the scene and refused any further medical assistance.
9:02 p.m.—An officer observed two individuals smoking a class D substance at 1 Brattle Square. The officer conducted a field interview with the individuals who were run for wants/warrants with negative results and sent on their way.
April 10
1:57 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to a report of an individual screaming at Longfellow Hall. Officers arrived and searched the area and then reported that all was quiet and in order.
11:00 a.m.—An officer was dispatched to the Barker Center to take a report of an individual who was receiving harassing phone calls.
10:47 p.m.—An officer was dispatched to Eliot House D entryway to take a report of suspicious activity. The officer arrived and spoke to the reporting party who stated that they noticed a key was missing. The reporting party stated someone would be posted at the D entryway of the house for the remainder of the evening.
April 11
4:33 p.m.—An officer was dispatched to take a report of an individual receiving harassing phone calls.
April 12
1:39 p.m.—An officer was dispatched to Gund Hall to take a report of a stolen unattended and unsecured black and gray Swiss Army backpack valued at $75 that contained an IBM laptop computer valued at $1,800, a personal response device valued at $40, and a pair of Oakley sunglasses valued at $150.
3:17 p.m.—An officer was again dispatched to Gund Hall to take a report of a stolen, unattended, and unsecured black wallet valued at $300 that contained two identification cards, credit cards, keys, and $30 cash.
April 13
3:07 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to a report of three individuals outside of Pennypacker Hall South. The reporting party stated they heard thuds and then saw one individual run down the street. Officers searched the area for the individuals with negative results.
5:21 p.m.—An officer observed two individuals known to the department for previous incidents pulling on vehicle doors in the area around DeWolfe Street and Memorial Drive. Additional units were dispatched. Officers reported losing sight of the individuals.
April 14
6:04 p.m.—Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious individual watching television in Lehman Hall in Harvard Yard. Officers located the individual and conducted a field interview. The individual was checked for wants/warrants with negative results. The individual was sent on their way with a trespass warning for all Harvard University property.
April 15
8:09 p.m.—An officer assisted Cambridge Police with an individual who was lying on the sidewalk. The officer reported that the individual had possibly broken their ankle and injured their shoulder. The individual was transported via ambulance to a medical facility.
