SPORTS BRIEF: Torn Tendon Ends Ogunwole's Collegiate Career

According to MRI results received on Friday, a torn triceps tendon will sideline senior Bode Ogunwole for six months and will effectively end the rest of his season with the Harvard wrestling team.

The star heavyweight will have surgery this Friday to repair the tendon, which was the only option due to the severity of the tear.

Ogunwole, tri-captain for the Crimson, had posted an 11-0 record on the season before his injury against Lehigh last Saturday. Ranked second in the nation, the senior appeared poised for his most remarkable season yet, but the injury will prematurely conclude his collegiate career.

With an 81-25 record in over three years of collegiate wrestling, Ogunwole had his most accomplished season in his junior year, winning the heavyweight title at the EIWA Championships and placing sixth in the NCAAs to go along with an All-America selection.
