Unlawful Bag Dropping Crackdown
Friday, July 28, 1:54 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to a report of an individual dropping their belongings off at the front desk at 651 Huntington Avenue. When the individual was informed that their belongings could not be stored at the front desk, they stated that they did not care. An officer arrived on location and informed the individual, who was a Harvard affiliate, not to store their belongings at the front desk again.

Friday, July 28, 10:33 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a lock-out at Divinity Hall. Officers arrived and noticed damage done to the inside of the building due to heavy rain.

Sunday, July 30, 12:11 a.m.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a loud noise coming from the veranda at 29 Garden Street. Officers arrived and reported that the noise was caused by an individual on their cell phone.

Wake-up Call
Sunday, July 30, 8:38 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to a report that an alarm clock had been ringing inside a room for an extended period of time in Vanderbilt Hall. An officer arrived at the location and reported that the alarm clock had been turned off.

False Alarm
Monday, July 31, 7:48 a.m.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious package. Officers arrived at the Business School’s shipping and receiving depot and observed a black briefcase on the ground in the area. The Boston Bomb Squad was notified, and further investigation revealed that the briefcase was empty and not suspicious; it was later disposed of.

Mulch Outside Wigglesworth
Monday, July 31, 9:59 p.m.

An officer observed a small amount of smoldering mulch in the area of Wigglesworth Hall F Entryway. The officer extinguished the fire with a cup of water, and the Cambridge Police Department was informed of the situation.

Massive Distraction
Wednesday, August 2, 10:13 a.m.

An officer took a report of suspicious activity where an unknown individual attempted to engage another individual in conversation while driving a vehicle.
