David Magoon, a third-year student at the Harvard Medical School (HMS), died recently in an accidental fall, according to an e-mail from an HMS dean.
The e-mail, sent by Dean of Students Nancy E. Oriol to all HMS students this afternoon, gave no further details about the cause, location, or timing of Magoon's death.
Calls to Oriol's office, the Harvard Medical School Office of Public Affairs, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Joseph B. Martin's office were not answered this evening.
