Animal House

1:30 a.m.—Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officers reported to 9 Ware St. in response to an individual who was reportedly awoken by an unknown animal in his or her room last Thursday, March 9. Police searched but were ultimately unable to locate the uninvited guest.

Priceless Paintings

8:58 a.m.—Two paintings were reportedly swiped from Rockefeller Hall last Thursday. The paintings’ values are as-of-yet unknown, police reports say.

A Little Bit Softer Now

3:41 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to Soldiers Field Park last Friday, March 10, led to the spot by a report that a crowd of individuals were screaming into megaphones. Police told the early-morning shouters to quiet down.

Quincy House Fire

8:39 p.m.—Quincy House saw a fire last Friday, bringing Cambridge Fire Department (CFD) and HUPD officers to the undergraduate dorm room in response. The fire, which had originated in the basement, was contained and extinguished by CFD by the time police had arrived.

Robinson Swiper

1:11 p.m.—An individual attempted to steal an item from another Robinson Hall visitor last Saturday, March 11, reports say. HUPD officers pulled aside the would-be stealer and ordered him off the premises with a no-trespass warning.

Quadling Crowding

10:23 p.m.—Reports of an overcrowded shuttle bus sent police to Johnston Gate last Saturday to come to the aid of the crammed-in riders. The responding officers successfully assisted passengers off the packed shuttle.

High-Tech Hacking

12:53 p.m.—Officers took note of the theft of a wallet and Compaq laptop computer at Canaday Hall last Sunday, March 12. The stolen items were valued at $1,830.

Scream in the Yard

1:39 a.m.—Officers were sent to Hollis Hall last Monday in search of an individual who reportedly screamed and then slammed his or her window shut nearly two hours past midnight. Officers searched for him or her but to no avail.

Suspicious Postering

12:57 p.m.—A report informed HUPD that “suspicious” posters were at that time hanging in the Kennedy School of Government last Monday. The officers who were dispatched to investigate took note of the posters and deemed them not suspicious but took them down anyway.

Moped Monday

6:08 p.m. —An individual reported a stolen red Honda moped to HUPD last Monday. The vehicle was valued at $600.

Stolen Couture

8:04 p.m. —A black Prada coat worth $1,000 and a wallet worth $30 were stolen from Lowell House dining hall last Thursday.
