IVY HOOPS POWERPOLL

It’s moving week in the Ivy League, as Penn looks to take a commanding lead, while Harvard and Princeton remain close behind.

1. PENN

The score Yale 16, Penn 1 was about as much a surprise as the absolute beating the Quakers handed out down the stretch in The Palestra.

2. CORNELL

The Big Red pulled off the home sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth and finds itself right back in the midst of the title hunt.

3. HARVARD

Two tough early season road losses make a home sweep of Penn and Princeton this weekend a must, if the Crimson wants to stay in the race.

4. PRINCETON

The Tigers might be 3-1 in league play, but remember that this is still the same team that lost at home by five to Division III Carnegie Mellon.

5. YALE

The Bulldogs have to be kicking themselves for not earning a split with the P’s, but they should bounce back in the friendly confines of John J. Lee.

6. BROWN

The bottom three teams are really a pick’em, but the Bears’ wins against Yale and Dartmouth give them the slight edge over the other two.

7. DARTMOUTH

The Big Green got into the win column the hard way, taking a Saturday night Ivy road game against the woeful Lions.

8. COLUMBIA

Another promising start to the season has led to another disappointing plummet to the bottom of the league standings.
