The Harvard men's hockey team won for the first time since Nov. 24, defeating Dartmouth, 3-2, at the Bright Hockey Center on Saturday night.

After two losses at the end of November, the Crimson (4-9-0, 3-7-0 ECAC) did not play a game in the first two weeks of December. But Harvard showed little signs of rust in the league victory.

Junior winger Mike Taylor netted two power-play scores, including the opening goal of the game just 2:48 in.

Doug Rogers tallied the eventual gamewinner at 4:32 of the second period, knocking home a feed from senior center Kevin Du.

That put the Crimson ahead, 3-0, but the Big Green (5-4-2, 4-4-2) tallied two goals in the middle frame to cut the lead to one.

Senior goaltender Justin Tobe started the game but left the ice midway through the second period, seemingly hindered by an injury that he suffered in a collision at the end of the opening frame.

Rookie Kyle Richter filled in for Tobe, playing 26:44 and making 10 saves to preserve the 3-2 victory. Tobe finished with 14 saves on 16 shots.
