April 8:

7:23 p.m.—An Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer was dispatched to Pusey Library in response to graffiti tagging done by spray-paint that had been left on one of its walls.

8:01 p.m.—Officers observed two men graffiti tagging the Kennedy School of Government (KSG) building with spray-paint. Upon being spotted, the perpetrators attempted to flee the scene and the officers gave chase. The perpetrators were caught, attempted to resist arrest but ultimately, were subdued. John A. Cobblah, 20, of Maynard, Mass. and Daniel Gursha, 19, of Haven, Mass. were then placed under arrest for tagging property, resisting arrest, and carrying a dangerous weapon.

April 9:

12:22 a.m.—HUPD officers responded to Cabot House, Entry B, Room 31 to assist security in removing an allegedly rowdy group possibly throwing bottles. The responding officers encountered a party in the room and asked the partiers to keep the noise down.

2:31 a.m.—An officer observed a person acting “suspiciously” near a bicycle rack and pulled him aside for questioning. The officer checked the suspicious person for outstanding wants or warrant, with successful results, and proceeded to place Craig K. Pearson, 44, of Nashua, N.H. under arrest.

10:12 a.m.—An officer was sent to Dunster House to assist Cambridge Police Department (CPD) in taking note of an indecent assault and battery that had occurred the night before.

April 10:

6:58 a.m.—An HUPD officer reported to Harvard Yard to assist CPD in the search of a person who had failed to pay his or her taxi fare. The taxi-fare evader could not be found.

1:51 p.m.—An officer was dispatched to Mather House to investigate the theft of a black pocketbook, including a silver Sprint cell phone. The stolen items were valued at $62.

10:00 p.m.—An officer was sent to Kresge Dining Hall to note the theft of an MP3 player and cash, valued collectively at $430.

April 11:

9:31 a.m.—An officer was sent to the School of Public Health in response to a “suspicious” letter that had been received.

10:53 a.m.—An officer responded to 33 Banks St. because of a report alleging that a person may have attempted to peer into a shower while someone was using it.

April 12:

1:13 a.m.—Officers reported to Winthrop House in response to the alleged scent of marijuana wafting in the building. The responding officers determined the scent was actually cigar smoke.

11:40 p.m.—HUPD officers assisted the Boston Police Department (BPD) in the search for a person possibly armed with a gun in Roxbury. BPD located a party matching the description and the HUPD units were cleared.

April 13:

12:04 a.m.—Officers were sent to Harvard Yard because of a report alleging that someone was acting strangely. The responding officers were unable to find the strange perpetrator.

1:07 p.m.—An officer observed a package lying suspiciously by Memorial Church. Upon further investigation, the officer determined the package was, in fact, filled with soda cans.

April 14:

2:01 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) offices on 60 Kennedy St. in response to a report about glass breaking. The officers found a broken window and wooden shutters. They checked the area for perpetrators but were unable to find any.

11:20 a.m.—An officer investigated the theft of a blue mountain bicycle taken from Straus Hall. The bicycle, which had been stolen from an exterior bicycle rack, was valued at $550.

8:35 p.m.—An officer was sent to Cabot House in response to a report about the theft of an Apple Powerbook laptop computer. The stolen item was valued at $1,573.04.
