April 1:
11:09 a.m.—Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officers found three individuals unaffiliated with the College inside Loker Commons—one of whom was carrying alcohol. After checking for wants and warrants, the responding officers issued them a trespass warning and sent them away. A criminal complaint may be sought for the individual in possession of alcohol.
12:43 p.m.—An officer reported to the Faculty Club because of reports that an individual had rummaged through the coats in the coat room and removed several of them.
3:11 p.m.—An officer was sent to Adams House to investigate a report about an individual locked in a crawlspace area. Once the individual was freed from the space, he fled.
April 3:
10:23 a.m.—An officer was dispatched to Cabot House because of a report of vandalism. The responding officer determined sky light damage had been caused previously by fallen ice. The building administration was already aware of the damage.
12:56 p.m.—An officer was sent to the Malkin Athletic Center (MAC) to investigate the theft of a debit card and driver’s license. The stolen items had been removed from a wallet left unsecured and unattended in a locker.
April 4:
1:14 a.m.—An HUPD officer was sent to Dunster House in response to a report regarding the odor of gas that had allegedly been emanating from the laundry room. The responding officer determined there are no gas lines in the room and that no such odor was present.
1:47 a.m.—Officers reported to Winthrop House on the report alleging the scent of marijuana. The officers searched the building with unsuccessful results.
April 5:
1:20 p.m.—An officer was dispatched to the New Research Building in Roxbury because of the theft of a Macintosh G4 laptop computer, valued at $2,500.
2:34 p.m.—Officers responded to Peabody Terrace to investigate a individual who had allegedly been removing parts from a bicycle. The responding officers found an individual fitting the description and searched him or her for extra bicycle parts. The individual did not have extra bicycle parts with him but was issued a no trespass warning for the Peabody Terrace Complex and sent away.
April 6:
2:11 a.m.—A stranger knocked on the window of a Story Hall resident, asking for directions. The resident found it suspicious and reported the incident to HUPD. Officers were sent to the area to search for the stranger but could not find him or her.
9:21 p.m.—HUPD assisted Cambridge Police Department (CPD) in the search for the perpetrator of an alleged assault on Bow Street. The officers were unable to locate the assailant.
April 7:
1:42 a.m.—An officer reported to Loker Commons to investigate three unknown individuals playing pool. After checking for wants and warrants, the responding officer issued a no trespass warning and sent the pool players away.
2:13 p.m.—An officer was dispatched to Holyoke Center in response to a report regarding a threat that had been delivered via telephone.
9:09 p.m.—An HUPD officer was sent to Harvard Hillel in response to a complaint regarding noise outside the building. The responding officer determined Hillel was holding a fundraiser and that the music would end at 9:45 p.m.
