POLICE LOG

Feb. 18:

12:12 a.m.—A Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer observed a person urinating on the side of a building on Mass. Ave. and Linden Street. After checking for warrants to no avail, the officer sent the perpetrator away.

3:31 p.m.—Officers were sent to Lowell House because of a report about two people throwing bicycles at a bicycle rack. The officers did not find the alleged bicycle throwers at the scene but confiscated the two bicycles left unattended.

Feb. 19:

1:32 a.m.—An HUPD officer reported that a motor vehicle was traveling down Mt. Auburn St. at an excessive speed. Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded and took over the matter.

3:30 p.m.—CPD notified HUPD that a Harvard affiliate was allegedly threatened and chased, then fell as a result at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. Officers searched the area but could not find the suspect.

Feb. 20:

8:24 p.m.—Officer reported a stray dog roaming down 9 Lowell St. The dog was promptly returned to the owner.

9:05 p.m.—An HUPD officer was dispatched to 20 DeWolfe St. in response to the theft of a black Dell laptop computer, dark-colored backpack, two silver Sony digital cameras, a silver Fossil watch, and a Sony calculator. The stolen items were valued at a total of $3,430.

Feb. 21:

2:30 a.m.—Undergraduate David T. Maybury-Lewis ’07 was arrested for alleged domestic assault at Comstock Hall in Pforzheimer House.

8:24 p.m.—Officers were sent to Quincy House to investigate three people in the building who did not belong there. Security had approached and questioned the three individuals, during which two fled in a motor vehicle and the other fled on foot. The HUPD officers could not find the suspects.

Feb. 22:

2:18 p.m.—HUPD officers were dispatched to Gund Hall in response to a larceny that was still in progress. The victim, who was a Harvard affiliate, confronted the suspect, who then dropped some of the stolen items and fled. The suspect allegedly took with him a black bag and a silver Samsung cell phone worth a total of $155. Officers checked the area but could not find the perpetrator.

6:25 p.m.—An officer reported to Littauer Center to investigate an unattended stolen silver Dell laptop computer and black carry case. The stolen items were collectively valued at $1,925.

7:07 p.m.—An officer was sent to 10 DeWolfe Street because of a report about a room that had possibly been broken into because of a malfunctioning door. The officer determined it had been an umbrella stuck in the jam which had caused the door not to shut properly.
