Oct. 28:

10:51 a.m.—Reports of a suspicious person in the Warren Alpert Building sent Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officers to 200 Longwood Ave. The responding officers found the individual and searched for any outstanding wants and warrants under his name without success. Carlos Gonzalez, 18, of Roxbury, Mass. was then arrested for trespassing.



Oct. 29:

2:53 a.m.—Officers were sent to Holmes Hall in the Quad in response to a report that someone had been smoking in the bathroom. Police found the bathroom empty and were unable to locate the alleged smoker.



10:20 a.m.—An officer reported to the Law School’s Story Hall because of a report concerning an open window and bullets strewn on the floor. The officer determined that the bullets were fakes and had been left from a party held the night before.



Oct. 30:

3:22 p.m.—An officer investigated the theft of a Cannon digital camera worth $200 and cell phone worth $100 at Currier House.



4:54 p.m.—An officer responded to Au Bon Pain on 1360 Mass. Ave. because an individual had reportedly been using the bathroom for an exorbitant amount of time. It was determined that lingering customer was feeling ill.



Oct. 31:

12:48 p.m.—Reports of a suspicious package placed near Annenberg Hall sent officers to the freshmen dining hall to investigate. Police discovered the package posed no threat and actually was filled just with sand.



5:35 p.m.—An officer was sent to Canaday Hall in response to a report concerning $500 in cash that had been stolen from an unsecured room.



Nov. 1:

1:18 p.m.—Officers were dispatched to the Spangler Building at 1 Soldiers Field Park to take note of a past domestic disturbance. The victim asked for and received a restraining order.



1:29 p.m.—An officer spotted someone in the process of clothing the John Harvard Statue with a T-shirt. The prankster was spoken to, asked to leave, and was ultimately unsuccessful in his or her attempt.



1:40 p.m.—An officer took note of the theft of a vial filled with a steroid-type drug. The estimated value of the stolen item could not be gauged.



Nov. 3:

3:32 p.m.—An officer was sent to Currier House because of a report concerning the theft of a pocketbook left unattended. The stolen item, and its content, was valued collectively at $850.
