PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Jeff Prough scored a power-play goal with 38 seconds to play to lift Brown to a 4-3 win over Clarkson on Friday night.

Brian Ihnacak scored a goal and had two assists, while Prough and Matt Vokes had a goal and an assist each for the Bears (1-2-0, 1-2-0 ECAC), who led 3-2 after two periods. Antonin Roux also scored for the Bears, who went 3-for-9 on the power play.

Shea Guthrie had two goals to lead Clarkson (5-3-1, 1-1-1), his second early in the third period tying the game at 3-3. Mike Sullivan also scored for Clarkson.

RPI 4, QUINNIPIAC 2

TROY, N.Y.—Goalie Mathias Lange made 31 saves in RPI’s 4-2 win over Quinnipiac Friday night.

Brad Farynuk and Kevin Croxton each had a goal and assist for the Engineers (5-4-1, 1-1-1).

David Marshall tied the game at 2-2 with a power-play goal in the second period for Quinnipiac (8-3-0, 2-1-0). Brian Leitch also scored for the Bobcats, who had their eight-game winning streak snapped.

Croxton’s goal put RPI ahead for good, and Jonathan Ornelas added an insurance goal in the third period. Tommy Green scored in the first period for the Engineers.

Bud Fisher stopped 26 shots in the loss.

UNION 2, QUINNIPIAC 0

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—Kris Mayotte made 28 saves to lead Union to a 2-0 win over Quinnipiac Saturday night.

Michael Beynon scored on the power play in the first period, and Lane Caffaro had an empty-net goal at the end of the third period for the Dutchmen (5-4-1, 2-2-0).

Bud Fisher stopped 24 shots for Quinnipiac (8-4-0, 2-2-0).

BROWN 3, ST. LAWRENCE 1

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Sean Hurley’s power-play goal at 11:16 of the second period was the game winner in Brown’s 3-1 victory over St. Lawrence on Saturday night.

Seth Seidman added a third-period insurance goal for the Bears (2-2-0, 2-2-0).

Brian Ihnacak put Brown in front just 1:43 into the game. Hurley also had an assist and Adam D’Alba made 34 saves.

Kyle Rank scored a power-play goal for St. Lawrence (7-3-0, 3-1-0) at 1:47 of the second period.
