POLICE LOG

Nov. 20:

1:35 a.m.—Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officers were sent to the Carpenter Center to investigate a report of about 30 people gathering on the ramps. Officer determined the group was attending a party and they decided to go inside.

10:25 a.m.—An officer arrested Christopher McDonald, 37, of Quincy, Mass., for warrants outside the stadium.

3:26 p.m.—An officer witnessed a drug transaction taking place at Ohiri Field and arrested James McKenna, 22, of Darien, Conn. and Michael Holland, 23, of New Haven, Conn., on charges of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of a Class B drug.

5:48 p.m.—Officers witnessed people using drugs on Ohiri Field. Officers approached the people, checked them for warrants with negative results, confiscated the remaining drugs and sent them on their way with a no trespass warning for Ohiri Field only during the football game.

11:53 p.m.—Officers were dispatched to Pforzheimer House on a report of a possible fight in progress. Officers determined it was not a fight but a “human” chess game.

Nov. 21:

12:35 a.m.—Officers were sent to Au Bon Pain on Mass. Ave. on a report of an individual throwing chairs and causing a disturbance. Officers said they moved the individual off of the property and instructed them not to return.

4:59 a.m.—Officers were dispatched to Claverly Hall on a 911 call about someone attempting to gain entry into a room. Officers said they located an intoxicated individual and sent them back to their room.

Nov. 22:

2:30 p.m.—An officer observed a person carrying a golf club into the Yard. The officer spoke to the person, determined the club was for a prank and sent the person away.

Nov. 23:

8:17 a.m.—Officer reported chalk writing on the wall of Canaday Hall. Officer reported that the building sustained no damage.

11:53 p.m.—Officers were sent to Eliot House to investigate a report of people being loud and throwing bottles out the window and into the courtyard. Officers checked the area and all was quiet.

Nov. 24:

7:07 a.m.—An HUPD officer was dispatched to William James Hall on a report of a suspicious person wearing a crimson type uniform piggy-backing into the building. The person did not have a Harvard ID. A search turned up negative.

8:06 a.m.—An officer was sent to the Spangler Building to take a report of a stolen LCD projector and Panasonic DVD player with a total value of $1,740. The items were unsecured.

Nov. 28:

10:57 a.m.—An officer was sent to the Dental School to take a report of a stolen Samsung Plasma television valued at $5,000.

Nov. 29:

12:32 a.m.—An officer was sent to Dunster House to take a report of a stolen silver Specialized Hard Rock Pro bicycle valued at $850. The bicycle was located in the basement of Dunster House.

11:36 a.m.—At the Porcellian Club, 1324 Mass. Ave., an officer observed a person jumping onto the police car that the officer was driving and then sliding off of the hood. The person was playing a prank and was advised of the seriousness of these actions.
