A Harvard graduate student was robbed by two unidentified males early Saturday morning on Kirkland Street near Francis Avenue, about two blocks from William James Hall.

According to a community advisory issued by the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) yesterday, two males standing on the sidewalk approached the victim as he walked by. When one of the suspects asked for the victim’s wallet, the victim said he did not have a wallet.

One suspect then struck the victim in the face, and both suspects fled the area.

One suspect is described as a 5-foot-9-inch white male in his late 20s, weighing 185 pounds, with cropped dark hair and a tweed cap.

The second suspect is described as a white male, also in his late 20s, 6-foot-3-inches tall, weighing 250 pounds with cropped hair.

HUPD spokesperson Steven G. Catalano said the victim was not seriously injured in the incident.

The Cambridge Police Department is investigating the robbery, but has not made any arrests, spokesperson Frank D. Pasquarello said yesterday.
