POLICE LOG

Feb. 17:

3:51 a.m.—A Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer investigated a party at the Lampoon, a semi-secret Sorrento Square social organization which used to occasionally publish a so-called humor magazine. Lampoon members promised to turn off their lame music and try to be more tasteful in the future.

6:30 p.m.—An individual informed a HUPD officer that an unknown man masturbated in front of him at 4:30 p.m. in the men’s bathroom of the Science Center basement. The officer searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect.

Feb. 18:

9:02 a.m.—An officer removed three non-Harvard students from the common room of Greenough Hall, where they had been sleeping. The students, who were attending a debate tournament, found other accomodations.

4:55 p.m.—A Peabody Terrace resident called police after a nude individual entered the caller’s apartment and made “irrational” statements. The caller declined to press burglary charges and officers transported the suspect to University Health Services for a pyschiatric evaluation.

Feb. 19:

2:48 a.m.—A HUPD officer removed a noisy individual from a Perkins Hall dumpster.

12:11 p.m.—An officer investigated a stolen sculpture from the Mather House art gallery. The sculpture was returned a few days later.

6:12 p.m.—Officers unsuccessfully searched for a man who attempted to grab a woman in the ladies’ room of Longfellow Hall. The suspect is described as 30-year-old Hispanic male, of medium build, with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Feb. 20:

3:17 a.m.—Officers removed two individuals from the Science Center who had been attempting to spend the night in the building.

12:51 p.m.—An officer took a report of stolen cash and jewelry at the Peabody Museum.

9:25 p.m.—An officer stopped an individual in Harkness Commons who he knew had an outstanding trespass warning. HUPD arrested William Littman, 51, of 511 Main St., Malden, Mass. for trespassing.
