POLICE LOG

Sept. 29:

12:12 a.m.—A Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer was dispatched to Mather House after receiving a report of four individuals causing a disturbance. A search for the suspects turned up negative.

2:03 a.m.—An officer took a report of a stolen wallet at Pforzheimer House.

Sept. 30:

9:07 a.m.—An officer took a report of a stolen computer at Longfellow Hall.

6:34 p.m.—An HUPD officer arrested 22-year-old Travis Wheeler of Allston, Mass. on a default warrant at the Carpenter Center.

Oct. 1:

11:21 a.m.—An officer arrested 55-year-old Frances Menzio of Boston at Emerson Hall for trespassing.

5:20 p.m.—An officer was sent to Emerson Hall to remove an unwanted guest, but the individual was gone upon the officer’s arrival.

Oct. 2:

3:38 p.m.—An officer took a report of a stolen checkbook at the Kennedy School.

8:08 p.m.—An officer was sent to Blodgett Pool where a group was reportedly causing a disturbance in the stands. The officer sent the group on its way.

Oct 3:

6:39 p.m.—An HUPD officer was dispatched to Radcliffe Yard to investigate a report of a suspicious group. A search for the suspects turned up negative.

10:54 p.m.—An officer filed a report of a stolen bicycle at the Science Center.

Oct 4:

2:05 a.m.—An officer took a report of stolen futons at Claverly Hall.

11:14 a.m.—An officer investigated an attempted larceny of a laptop computer at Pierce Hall. The officer was unable to locate the suspect, described as a black 5-foot-10-inch male with a goatee and royal blue running pants.

Oct. 5:

1:38 a.m.—An officer was sent to Widener Library after receiving a report that three people were attempting to steal signs. The individuals returned the signs and were sent on their way.

3:10 p.m.—An officer arrested 26-year-old Yuan Hanhui of Cambridge, Mass. at the Science Center after he refused to leave the building. Hanhui is charged with assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

11:50 p.m.—An officer was sent to Hurlbut Hall after receiving a report of a loud party. The occupants fled the building upon the officer’s arrival.
