Maclean’s journalist JOHN GEDDES addresses questions about international careers as part of a Weatherhead Center panel last night.
All this week, students can take advantage of several opportunities to learn about job opportunities abroad through the International Career Week held by the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs (WCFIA).
Following the Sept. 11 attacks, center organizers said more Harvard students were interested in international affairs and pursing jobs outside the U.S.
The group expanded on their annual international careers dinner and created an international career week last year.
“It seems as if American students feel some sort of obligation to represent the U.S. abroad,” said Anthony Arnold ’04, co-president of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs Student Council.
On Monday, the group kicked off the week’s events with an international business career panel. The rest of the week features discussions on diplomacy, international journalism, international law and international development.
