Harvard Closings as a Result of Terrorist Attack

• Faculty of Arts and Sciences--FAS remains open, including class registration and House dining services. Staff who wish to leave for personal reasons have permission to do so. Students who do not register today will likely not incur any penalties or late fees. Classes will begin as scheduled tomorrow.

• Business School--Classes at the Harvard Business School have been cancelled for the day, but will most likely resume tomorrow. Throughout the day, the Williams Room will remain open as a community gathering space.

• Design School--Classes and events at the Design School are continuing as usual. Staff who wish to leave for personal reasons have permission to do so, but should inform their supervisors before leaving.

• Divinity School--The Divinity School will remain open during normal business hours today, including Divinity School chapels. Classes will run as scheduled for Wednesday, as will convocation on Wednesday at noon.

• Education School--Beginning at 1:00 pm, all public events and meetings, including class registration, have been cancelled, and no penalties or late fees will be incurred. The Gutman Library Lobby will serve as the gathering point for the Education School community.

• Extension School--Classes at the Extension School have been cancelled, with all buildings closed at 1:00 pm.

• Government School--Operations at the Government School, including classes and events, have been suspended, but are expected to resume tomorrow.

• Law School--All classes at the Law School have been cancelled, but are expected to resume tomorrow.

• Medical School--The Medical School atrium is open for students to gather. Staff who wish to leave for personal reasons have permission to do so, but should inform their supervisors before leaving.

• Public Health--The School of Public Health remains open today. Staff who wish to leave for personal reasons have permission to do so. Enhanced security measures are being enforced to enter buildings at the School of Public Health.

• Harvard College Library--The Harvard College Library, which includes Cabot, Fine Arts, Harvard-Yenching, Houghton, Kummel, Lamont, Littauer, Loeb Music, Pusey, Tozzer, and Widener libraries will remain open. Staff who wish to leave for personal reasons have permission to do so, but should inform their supervisors before leaving.

• Central administrative offices-—Administrative offices remain open, but staff who wish to leave for personal reasons have permission to do so.
