The Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) has issued a community warning in the wake of a mid-day indecent assault and battery Tuesday near Vanserg Hall.
Around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, a University employee encountered a man on the walkway behind Vanserg at 29 Francis Ave. who assaulted her.
Police described the suspect as a black male, between 16 and 20 years of age, approximately five feet two inches tall, and wearing a white shirt, black backpack and light gray sneakers with Chinese characters on the heel.
He fled on foot toward the Semetic Museum on Divinity Ave.
