In a May 16 article about the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies (VES), the Crimson reported that Former Assistant to both the Chair and the Head Tutor Kathleen Chaudhry said VES Finance Manager Karen Brown once wrote the department's budget when the department's chief administrator was absent and the chair was unwilling to take on the responsibility.
VES Professor Chris Killip was chair of the department at that time, not Ellen Phelan. Phelan's term as chair began on July 1, 1999.
