Here We Go Again

JUDY E. COLLINS '99

Consistent excellence: this is what we have come to expect from senior forward Judy Collins.

It looks like fans of Harvard field hockey will not be disappointed this season.

The co-captain netted two goals in leading Harvard to a 4-1 victory in its Ivy League opener against Columbia.

Collins started things off right for the Crimson with the opening tally only 6:27 into the game. She also added the finishing touch on the victory, scoring the final goal of the day with 1:38 to go.

"We didn't want any lapses," Collins said. "We needed to generate more offense and get another goal."

This type of success is nothing new for Collins. As a junior she finished the season with six goals and five assists and was a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy First Team, an honor she had earned the previous season as well.

During her sophomore season, Collins simply dominated the league. She was named a third-team All-American for her 13-goal, four-assist season. The effort broke Harvard records for both goals and points (30) in a season.
