Michele L. Woodbury
Baring (almost) all for Playboy was easy. It's deciding what to do now that's proving more difficult.
Michele L. Woodbury '00 had modeled at hair shows, wine conventions, and even for Yoo-Hoo chocolate drink. Posing topless for the April 1998 "Women of the Ivy League" issue of Playboy magazine, then, was simply just another gig.
"It was something I wanted to do, I did it, and it's done," she states triumphantly.
Woodbury maintains that her photo spread hasn't affected anything at all about her life at school.
"Most people are scared to talk about it," she explains. But she has discussed the experience at length with her friends, and they "understand who I am."
Since the appearance in Playboy, the psychology concentrator has continued to model for clothing shows as a sales representative. Her primary employer, U.R.U. clothing, has offered her a job after graduation overseeing the company's franchise in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Remaining in the fashion industry--albeit not as a model--is enticing to Woodbury, whose future plans include eventually owning a small business. But that's a long way off.
"I want to have as many jobs as I can before I'm 30, learn as much as I can, travel a lot--maybe with the Peace Corps--raise a family, and own a small business." She also is thinking about getting a masters in Business at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
"I'm willing to try anything fun and interesting," she says. No one would doubt that.
