A weekend burglary in Currier House has unsettled Quad residents this week.
Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officers responded to a larceny report in Currier at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, according to police records.
The victims reported having a laptop and two wallets stolen.
Earlier reports confused the incidents, and rumors circulated of up to four separate thefts, but police confirmed yesterday that they have received only one report.
HUPD has since classified the incident as a nighttime breaking and entering, although the door to the suite where it occurred was unlocked.
The incident is still under investigation, said Peggy A. McNamara, HUPD spokesperson. She declined further comment.
"I don't want to compromise the investigation," she said.
Quad residents were warned of the incident in e-mail messages from administrators earlier this week, which also cautioned students to keep their suite doors locked.
