Dominic Moore Named ECAC All Rookie Team

Despite its season ending last Saturday at Cornell, the Harvard men's hockey team received some good news yesterday--center Dominic Moore was named to the ECAC All Rookie Team.

Moore was the Crimson's top goal-scorer, lighting the lamp 12 times and adding 12 assists on the year. The elusive center often dazzled during the year with his ability to beat opposing defensemen one-on-one.

"I'm thrilled," Moore said. "We have a good, well-respected league with a lot of good freshmen, including two really good one's on our team [winger Brett Nowak and defenseman Aaron Kim]. I consider myself honored."

Moore has already captured the Ivy League Rookie of the Year Award. No other Crimson player received ECAC honors this season. Junior center Steve Moore, Dominic's older brother, was thought to have a good chance of making the All-Conference Second Team.

Senior goaltender J.R. Prestifilippo was named the Ivy League Player of the Year.

Colgate captain Andy McDonald, who tallied 36 points in 19 conference games, was named the ECAC Player of the Year. RPI senior Joel Laing brought home the ECAC Goaltender of the Year Award, boasting a miniscule 1.85 goals against average. Both players are Hobey Baker candidates.
