Fresh off a wave of good news in the national polls, Democratic presidential candidate Bill Bradley is set to address an audience at MIT tomorrow.
He will participate in a "student forum" at MIT's Tang Center at 4 p.m. According to a campaign spokesperson, Bradley will field questions for about an hour.
The former senator, a Princeton University graduate, has reached out to college students in an effort to "energize" that historically apathetic demographic, said Tony Wyche, Bradley's deputy press secretary.
"We've seen some of the largest drop-off in people [ages] 18 to 25. He's concerned about that," Wyche said.
Bradley arrives in Massachusetts the day after two polls showed him to be in a dead heat with Vice President Al Gore '69 in New York, a traditional battleground for Democratic delegates. In March, a similar poll showed Bradley trailing by nearly 17 points.
In Massachusetts, Gore still beats Bradley by a healthy margin.
