July 9

At 2:05 p.m. Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to a University Park Hotel report of a "woman down." When the officer arrived, they found a Brookline resident lying down, in possession of two hypodermic syringes, a spoon and a small quantity of heroin.

The woman was transported to Mass. General Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

July 11

At 12:50 p.m. the manager of the Hong Kong Restaurant at 1236 Mass. Ave. reported to CPD a female in her 30s who was denied access to lounge area because of an expired license.

A verbal argument ensued at which time the suspect slapped the manager across the face. The suspect then fled on foot. No medical attention was necessary.

July 12

A Watertown resident was arrested at 6:25 p.m. on Madison Avenue after being involved in a violent domestic confrontation. In the confrontation, the resident grabbed his wife by the throat after his daughter arrived home. The man threatened to kill both the wife and the daughter by stabbing them from the navel to the heart.
