POLICE LOG

APRIL 18

At 12:25 a.m. the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) received a report of a suspicious person attempting to open the door of a bike cage at Peabody Terrace. The suspect was described as a six-foot tall black male wearing a baseball hat and a black and yellow Nike jacket and dark pants. The suspect was gone when HUPD arrived.

Also on April 18, at 9:16 p.m. a man was observed in the bushes on the Quincy Street side of the Fogg Art Museum. He was issued a trespass warning after HUPD spoke with him.

APRIL 19

At 12:20 p.m. the Radcliffe flag was stolen from Fay House, according to the HUPD. The theft was classified as a larceny under $250.

The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) received a report of an assault on a juvenile Cambridge resident at 6:30 p.m. The juvenile was assaulted by three youths. One of the suspects was stopped and identified and later taken home to his mother. Complaints are being sought for a hearing because the victim was punched in the face and struck by the youths in his back and leg with a stick.

APRIL 21

CPD received a call at 9:45 p.m. from a Cambridge resident who answered her door to two masked men dressed in dark clothing and brandishing a sawed-off shotguns. When the men entered, the resident and a guest defended themselves and forced the intruders out. The two masked men then fled the area.

APRIL 24

The CPD received a report that an Allston resident was assaulted at the Harvard Square Kiosk. Three males punched and kicked the subject, who was rendered unconscious after being kicked in the head. He was taken to a Cambridge Hospital.
