The Harvard men's and women's Track teams face formidable Ivy League foes Yale and Princeton this Saturday. The competition starts at 11:30 a.m. at Gordon Track and Field Center.

Princeton is the defending indoor and outdoor champion, and Yale is nothing to relax about either. Both teams are fairing quite well through their seasons, setting up for a huge showdown to occur tomorrow.

The women are coming into this meet after huge Ivy League wins against Cornell and Brown.

"Those wins were a huge confidence boost," said senior co-captain Margaret Schotte.

Not only do they have confidence, but they have an untarnished record, as well as a full lineup. Plagued with injuries early in the season, the women's team is now rehabilitated and ready for the competition.

But the men's team, which is usually balanced in every event, is now dealing with its own injuries. Senior thrower Ken Hughes, freshman thrower David Grimm and senior middle-distance expert Darren Dinean are all suffering from ailments. They are usually counted on for capturing first in their respective events.

"If our whole team were healthy, our team believes we are on the same level as Princeton," said senior co-captain Joe Ciollo.

This meet is important in preparing the men's and women's teams for the Heptagonal meet next week.

Furthermore this meet could be a preview of the Ivy League Championship.

"This is the biggest home meet of the year," Ciollo said. "Regardless, nobody will be crowned champion on Saturday."
