It's rather appropriate that the star of the Penn men's basketball team shares his name with one of the greatest professional basketball players of all time.
Returning for his final stint as a guard with the Quakers, senior guard Michael Jordan hopes to make this his most memorable season yet.
Jordan earned First-Team All-Ivy for his outstanding performances the past two years and may very well repeat the achievement this year.
A four-year starter for Penn, Jordan will anchor one of the most lethal backcourts in the league alongside senior guard Matt Langel.
Starting 72 of the 80 games he's played with the Quakers, Jordan has both the skill and experience to lead Penn to its second straight Ivy League championship.
Jordan is an extremely versatile player who can both score and defend. Averaging 15.3 points per game, Jordan is 20th on the Quaker's all-time scoring list with 1,140 points.
In addition, Jordan led the team with 413 points overall, good enough for seventh in the league, and was third in assists, averaging 4.6 dishes per game.
Jordan has always come through in the clutch. An excellent player under pressure, Jordan was instrumental in the Quakers' win over Temple last season, lasting the entire 45 minutes, and notching 22 points on the night.
