To the editors:
Congratulations to my fellow first-years who "ran the route" in this year's Primal Scream, despite the icy face of adversity. Bravo to everyone who chose to ignore the taunts of sideline voyeurs and Purple Hearts to those who sustained injuries from the snowballs of fully clothed cowards. Tradition is one of the cornerstones of Harvard University. Each has special meaning for those Harvard men and women who participate. PETER A. OVERLAND '02 Jan. 16, 1999
