Welcome Back

ARMANDO L. PETRUCCELLI '99

It was not the best week for the men's soccer team with two tough losses to Providence and Yale.

However, when looking for the bright side of things for a team that is winless after five contests, look no farther than the return of senior Armando Petruccelli to the lineup.

After a year off, Petruccelli stepped right back into the Crimson midfield and began dominating play.

In the Crimson's 2-1 loss to Providence on Wednesday, Petruccelli played his first Harvard game since 1996 and made his presence felt by assisting on Harvard's lone goal.

In Saturday's heartbreaking 5-4 overtime loss to Yale, the senior netted Harvard's first and third goals. After only two games, the senior leads the team in overall scoring.

Needless to say, it is good to have Petruccelli back patrolling the Crimson midfield and powering the offense. When the Crimson does get itself into the win column, it is a safe bet that Petruccelli will be the driving force.

For a triumphant return to a Crimson uniform, Armando Petruccelli is The Crimson's Athlete of the Week.
