Class of 1998 COMMENCEMENT

This June 4th, Harvard celebrated its 347th Commencement, conferring 6,236 degrees to graduates of the University's 10 schools. As students and family gathered in Tercentenary Theatre--first for morning exercises and later for U.N. Ambassador for Human Rights Mary Robinson's afternoon address--jollity and festivity filled the air. With school banners flapping in the blustery winds, the University reveled as graduates received their degrees and said good-bye to the Harvard community.
