Men's Ultimate 2-3 at Nationals

The eighth-seeded Harvard men's ultimate team finished fourth in its pool in its first-ever appearance at the Ultimate Player's Association Collegiate Nationals, held this weekend in Blaine, Minn.

The first part of competition is a round-robin tournament, and the top two finishers in each of two six-team pools advances to the semifinals. Harvard, playing in Pool A, posted a 17-14 victory over ninth-seeded Rice in the second round, and beat 12th-seeded Iowa, 15-10, in the fifth round.

Harvard's three losses were a 17-11 first-round loss to North Carolina State, a 15-10 loss to Colorado in the third round and a 15-5 defeat at the hands of top-seeded Stanford in the fourth.

Stanford and North Carolina State advanced to the semifinals out of Pool A.
