The following events were listed in the Cambridge Police Department's blotter from April 29 to May 4.

April 29

A Cambridge resident reported that at 10 a.m. on April 28, she made a purchase at a Brattle Street store, but she does not remember the clerk giving back her credit card. She was later informed that unknown persons had used this card to make purchases at Crate and Barrel and The Gap later that same day.

April 29

A Chauncey Street resident reported that while shopping in Harvard Square, an unknown person cut the strap to her purse and stole it. The victim said the purse contained credit cards, over $500 in cash, her license, other indentification cards and a checkbook.

May 1

A resident of 1558 Mass Ave. reported that an unknown suspect attempted to pry open the front door of her apartment at 9 p.m.

May 2

A Winthrop House resident reported that an unknown person entered her suite through an unlocked door and removed several items sometime between April 30 and May 1.

May 3

A Rogers Street women reported that while she was walking to work at 9:50 a.m. a smiling male approached her at the intersection of Sixth and Rogers Streets. The suspect asked the woman how she was doing. The suspect then exposed himself and began masturbating in front of her. The suspect followed the victim down Sixth Street for some time and then ran away with his pants up.

May 4

A Cambridge Street resident reported that between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. three to five people removed a dark trash bag containing about $500 from an unlocked cabinet in Saint Paul's Church which is located at 24 Mt. Auburn St.
