Police Log

The following events were listed in the Cambridge Police Department blotter this past week.

March 11

A person reports that his glasses were broken while he was trying to break up a fight between two females on Thorndike Street.

A customer reports that an unknown person removed her purse from her wallet while she was in a Mass. Ave. store.

A Somerville resident reports that between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., three males approached him on Holden Street. One of the suspects hit the victim and said "Don't react, give me the money." The suspects took his wallet and fled.

March 13

Bynum Jackson of 491 Huntington Ave. in Boston was arrested at Cambridge and Columbia Streets after taking down a lightpole and then running into a motor vehicle stopped at a red light.

A resident of Peabody Terrace reports that her car was broken into and her stereo stolen.

A resident of Walden Street reports that a male has been following her.

March 14

An H&R Block employee reports that a client entered the business and asked about his refund. When an employee tried to explain, the client became irrational and said, "I know how to get my money fast." At that time, the individual looked towards the cash register. The employee took this as a threat.

At 1:20 p.m., a Cambridge resident reports that several unknown males threatened her on the corner of Mt. Auburn and Holyoke Streets.

A Huron Street resident reports that between Dec. 12, 1997, and Mar. 4, 1998, a man known to her has been threatening her and has left a plastic sword outside her door numerous times.

March 15

At 11:35 p.m., a resident of 44 Thorndike Street was arrested at the Harvard Square Kiosk for assault with a dangerous weapon.

March 16

A Cambridge resident reports that someone threw red paint on stone fixtures located outside her house.
