Log of Cambridge Police Activity

The following events were listed in the Cambridge Police Department blotter in the past week.

Feb. 18

ABT Associates of Wheeler Street reported receiving a bomb threat at the secretarial booth. The call was from what sounded like a young male.

Feb. 19

A Concord Avenue resident reported approximately $400 in Kennedy half dollars and a Spanish doll missing from a room in her home after another woman had stayed in the room between Feb. 11 and Feb. 18.

Feb. 21

An employee of a business on Mass. Ave. in Central Square reported that at 6:45 p.m. a black female attempted to steal approximately 20 pairs of pants by placing them in a large plastic bag. An alarm sounded when the suspect tried to exit the store, and she fled as employees tried to stop her. The merchandise was recovered.

Feb. 22

A Woburn resident reported that while attending a funeral gathering on Bolton Street, a man threw a cold drink at him, and then proceeded to kick him in the ribs and punch him repeatedly in the mouth.

Ma Magoo Subs of 6 Concord Ln. reported that during the night unknown persons apparently drove a large vehicle, possibly a truck, into the side of the building, seriously damaging the side door and dumpster.

Feb. 23

A Willard Street resident reported that at 4 p.m., unknown persons stole an address book containing phone tickets, a passport and a VISA card from his bag while he was at the information kiosk in Harvard Square.

A homeless man reported that while he was in the Square, another homeless man threatened to do him bodily harm, after he suggested that the suspect might have been involved in a homicide in Connecticut.

A resident of Fayerweather Street reported that unknown persons cut the tops off of two evergreen bushes.

Louis Gadsi of 364 Rindge Avenue was arrested at 2:50 a.m. after entering an unlocked cashiers booth and stuffing his pockets with $258 worth of lottery tickets.

Between 8:00 and 9:30 p.m., a resident of Brookline reported that while in Harvard Square, some unknown persons stole her wallet.

Feb. 24

A resident of Norris Street reported that her boyfriend threw her down the stairs and spat on her.

David Martin of 402 Rindge Avenue reported that a black female threatened him over a karaoke machine.
