To the editors:
Rustin Silverstein's "Scandalous Wishes" (Opinion, Feb. 13) is both extremely biased and grossly overstated. Silverstein justifies President Clinton's alleged affair by nothing that the "Comeback Kid" has public opinion behind him. To justify an affair by turning to public opinion polls is inexcusable. How would you feel if your wife had an affair? I guess it would be OK if she had good poll scores. JEFFERY B. GOLDBERG Tucson, Ariz., Feb. 16, 1998
