CAMBRIDGE POLICE BLOTTER

The following events were listed in the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) blotter in the past two weeks.

November 4

An Everteze Way resident reports that an unknown person took her wallet while she was at the North Cambridge Catholic School between October 31-November 2. Several illegal purchases have been made with a credit card that was in the wallet.

November 5

A Harvard University student reports that on November 2 her gym bag was stolen from her locker at 1815 Mass. Ave.

November 6

A Somerville resident reports that while dining at the Au Bon Pain located at the intersection of Dunster Street and Mass. Ave. an unknown person stole his blue nylon briefcase which contained personal papers and a new pair of gloves. He estimated their value at $200.

November 7

A Toys R Us employee reports a call at 12:58 p.m. at the customer service desk from an unknown male who asked, "What store is this?" The employee responded that it was the Cambridge location of Toys R Us. The caller then said, "Okay, well, then there is a bomb in the store." The Cambridge Fire Department responded to the call.

November 8

A Harvard student reports that between 3:45 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. he saw another person take his leather coat.

November 9

An employee at the CambridgeSide Galleria Mall's Abercrombie & Fitch store reports that an unknown person stole clothing while in a dressing room.

November 10

A Waltham juvenile was arrested at 3:10 p.m. in Harvard Square.

A Medford resident reports that two fur coats were stolen from him while he was in Au Bon Pain.

A Hampshire Street resident reports that at approximately 5:40 p.m. she fell while walking on Hampshire Street near Prospect Street due to an uneven section in the sidewalk.

November 11

An Acton resident reports that while he was in Harvard Square around 6 p.m. a man approached him, showed him three hand grenades, and asked him if he was interested in purchasing them.

November 12

A Boston resident was arrested at 2:30 p.m. at 1 Eliot St. after causing a disturbance yelling at customers, hitting his head against the building's glass entry, and smashing a large plant in its stand against a tile floor, damaging the floor.

November 13

A York Street resident reports that a male known to him shot him in the foot after a confrontation at the intersection of Harvard and Columbia Streets.

November 14

At 4:45 a.m. a man walked into CPD headquarters located at 5 Western Ave. and told the officer at the front desk that he wanted to kill himself by throwing himself on the third rail of a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority track. The man, identified as an escaped patient from McLean Hospital who had three outstanding warrants for his arrest, was booked and transported back to the hospital by ambulance.

November 15

A Rindge Avenue resident reports that she had a fight with a family member that involved the two striking one another with a broom.
