The following events were listed in the Cambridge Police Department's log between Oct. 20 and Oct. 26.

October 20

A resident of Beverly, Mass. reported that at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, while she was at 1426 Mass. Ave., two females bumped into her. A short time later she noticed that her black wallet containing $20,000 in cash was missing.

At 6:30 p.m., a taxi driver reported his taxi stolen from 100 Cambridge-side Pl. The taxi, a yellow Chevrolet Caprice, was later involved in a hit-and-run accident on Rogers Street.

October 21

A homeless woman was arrested at 12:40 a.m. at Pearl and Mt. Auburn Streets after reportedly pulling four fire alarm boxes that night.

A Dorchester resident reported that at 1:20 a.m., a homeless person broke off the driver's side mirror of his motor vehicle parked in Harvard Square.

October 22

A Newton resident reported that he left his bag containing various articles unattended at the corner of Mass. Ave. and Memorial Drive and an unknown person took the bag at 9 p.m. on Oct. 20.

A Trowbridge Street resident reported that when she arrived home at 6:15 p.m., she found her back door torn from its hinges and deadbolt. The apartment was ransacked, but the only item missing was a Cannondale mountain bike.

October 23

An Arlington resident reports that at 8:30 p.m., while attempting to buy marijuana, a white female pulled a knife on him and demanded his money ($17) and his backpack containing clothes and audio tapes.

October 24

At 3:00 p.m., a Healey Street resident reported that an unknown person entered her home through a rear door. There was no sign of forced entry. While the suspect was in the house, he reportedly watched television and made himself at home; the resident reported nothing missing.

October 25

An Appleton Street resident was arrested at 2:15 a.m. after causing a disturbance and assaulting her 76-year-old mother-in-law.

An Appleton Street resident reported that an unknown person removed a Sunmar self-contained compost toilet from her driveway.

At 2:30 p.m. a Tokyo resident reported that her pocketbook was removed from her purse while she was at a sandwich shop at Brattle and Palmer Streets.

October 26

A Cambridge resident reported that for the past month she has been receiving approximately ten hang-up calls per day. Calls continued even though the telephone number has been changed.
