Police Log

The following incidents were recorded in the Cambridge Police Department blotter in the past week.

Nov. 12, 1997

An employee at 2067 Mass. Ave. reported that at 4:45 p.m., a female patient demanded to see a doctor while he was with other patients. The patient threw a clipboard and called the employee names. The patient was escorted out by the police.

Nov. 13, 1997

At 7:50 a.m., a resident at 160 Chestnut St. reported that she had been receiving harassing phone calls from unknown persons who constantly said "hello" and then hung up.

At 1:55 p.m., a Waltham resident reported that while at Probate Court, a Watertown resident made verbal threats and made a shooting action with his finger, as if to kill the complainant.

Nov. 14, 1997

An Allston resident reported that at 7:10 p.m., while in his motor vehicle at 33 JFK St., he was approached by three people, one of whom punched him in the face and fled in a gray Toyota.

Nov. 15, 1997

At 7:09 p.m., a Sacramento, Calif., resident reported that while driving through Harvard Square, an unknown man kicked her motor vehicle, causing a dent to the vehicle.

At 7:40 p.m., a Needham resident reported that while on Eliot Street near JFK Street, the operator of a blue Ford struck his vehicle and fled the scene.

At 2 a.m., a resident of South Weymouth reported having an accident with a city plow on Coolidge Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 16, 1997

At 11:10 a.m., a Lexington resident reported that while at the Galleria Mall on Nov. 2, a store clerk at the mall did not return her credit card. The resident also reported that a purchase of $1,859.52 was made sometime later.

At 4:35 p.m., an Albany Street resident reported that on returning to the shelter and informing her boyfriend that he was not allowed in the shelter, he opened the front door and repeatedly opened and shut the door, striking her in the head. She refused medical treatment and a restraining order.

At 5:30 p.m. a Somerville resident reported that while delivering pizza his motor vehicle was struck with a snowball by one of four men.

Nov. 17, 1997

An employee of the Picante Restaurant at 735 Mass. Ave. reported that an unknown person broke the front window with a rock overnight.

A resident of Sherman Street reported at 9:20 p.m. that in the late evening of Nov. 16, an unknown person was looking through one of the windows of his home. He further stated that there have been similar problems in the past.
