Crimson Does Not Know What Grief Is

Letters

Two weeks ago, The Crimson broke news of an alcohol-related "catasrophe" (News, Sep. 15): due to changes in Harvard ID cards. "underage ragers" might henceforth have trouble purchasing alcohol illegally. The article lamented that this cruel move to "flatten the little c that remains in Harvard's night life," caused "grief to "sweep across the Yard."

If only we could live on a campus like MIT's, which is free of such catastrophes and grief. Joelle G. Novey '01
