Women's Lacrosse Falls 11-10 In Finals

The Harvard women's lacrosse team fell in the championship of the ECAC Tournament yesterday to Lehigh, 11-10, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The Engineers held a 8-5 halftime lead over the Crimson, but Harvard (8-6, 3-3 Ivy) could not complete the comeback.

Lehigh's Jill Altshuler led all scorers with six goals in the game. Co-captain Megan Hall tallied three goals and an assist for Harvard.

Harvard got to the title game by defeating Brown on Saturday for the second time this season, 15-8. In mid-April, the Crimson topped the Bears at Ohiri Field by a 10-7 score.

Senior Carrie Shumway topped Harvard's totals with three goals and an assist, and five Crimson players chipped in with two scores.

Lehigh defeated Rutgers in the first round, 11-8.
