STATEMENT OF POLICY BY THE CRIMSON NEWS BOARD

Crimson news executives or editors who run for election in a campus-wide popular vote are hence-forth prohibited from entering The Crimson building or fulfilling any editorial responsibilities from the day their candidacies are declared until the announcement of the final results.

All Crimson news executives who win positions through campus-wide election and choose to accept those positions will be asked by the news board to resign from their executive positions at The Crimson.

If an individual objects to this request, the executive board of The Crimson will consider requiring the individual's removal.

The news board will also recommend that Crimson editors who win such positions become deactivated.

After the election results are publicized, if the individual declines the position or loses the election, the individual may continue to serve at The Crimson, provided that the individual's other extracurricular obligations do not compromise the objectivity of The Crimson's coverage.
