It was just another stellar weekend for sophomore two-meter man Mike Zimmerman as he led the Harvard men's water polo team to a convincing win over Princeton, 8-7, and a close overtime loss to No. 12 Navy, 12-9.
A leading scorer as a freshman, Zimmerman is an offensive juggernaut and a consummate leader in the pool.
With time running down in the third quarter against Ivy power Princeton, Zimmerman blasted a shot past Tiger goalie Erik Lin just as the buzzer sounded to bring the Crimson within one goal.
Early in the fourth quarter, Zimmerman struck again to spearhead Harvard to an emotionally charged win.
As a freshman, Zimmerman notched 56 goals and 24 assists, and he appears to be on a scoring rampage once again this season.
When teams face Harvard, Mike Zimmerman is a man they fear.
