Despite the inconsistent start of the Harvard men's baseball team, one thing the Crimson (2-2) has been able to count on in the early going is the hitting of senior Joe Weidenbach.
In the Crimson's 8-3 win over Vermont, Weidenbach, who is expected to see action in the infield and outfield throughout the season, went four-for-four with one run-batted-in.
Weidenbach leads the team with a .457 batting average and has hit safely in each of his first nine games--a streak he would like to continue today in the Crimson's game against UNH. Harvard enters the game tied with Yale for first place in the Ivy League Red Rolfe division.
Although today's game will not affect the Ivy League standings, the Crimson will be looking to gain some momentum heading into this weekend's league games against Princeton and Cornell.
